Kent is it? Yes, I'll remember that. Warning: Spoilers
---Kent Is It? Yes, I'll Remember That.---

Those were the words said by Lex Luthor when Clark suggests that maybe the robbery of his battle armor could ultimately be of profit for him, as the U.S. government would order him to build more and more powerful units so the one stolen won't become a threat, but first things first...

Superman meets in this episode one more important element of the STORY... --------- ----------------------METROPOLIS!!!!!!!

Even when Clark had been using his abilities for some years now, now he is faced with the problems that are inherent to the most cosmopolite city of his world. In opposition to the Gotham City of Batman animated, the series from which this one is a spin-off that is literally an old, dark and of course Gothic city, Metropolis is modern, full of bright colors and slightly futuristic cars and buildings. It is important to say too, that when he speaks to Lois in order to intuitively create a public image, that he does not want to be perceived the way Batman is, he wants to be a different hero, he wants to be someone people could trust and not someone so intimidating that even some normal people (namely not criminals) were afraid of. Batman is actually mentioned in this episode not by his superhero name but as "That ""NUT"" in Gotham City".

It is very important to mention that in the DC UNIVERSE, heroes are in high degree a REFLECTION OF THE CITIES THEY LIVE IN. Same as Gotham City, Batman is dark, tenebrous and a little stuck in his own past. Flash is bright, relaxed and fun-loving, a little bit like Central City, where he lives. Superman is slightly cheerful, optimistic and foremost, as the city he defends, METROPOLIS, he is the "Man of Tomorrow"!

In my opinion this third episode of the series completes the triad of elements one needs to know about to get immersed in the adventure; Superman himself (of course!), his co-stars (Lois, Jimmy, Perry, Luthor, etc) , and his city.

Oh...and we have the first lines of Superman briefly describing his life's motto: "I'm not here to scare anyone... ... ...in fact I always try to help people whenever possible".

Finally, taking the advice given by IMDb about comparing a title with its peer series or movies, I want to say that even when I like "Batman, The Animated series" better than "Superman, The Animated Series" that is one we are talking about... ... so far , that is first three episodes against first three episodes... ...SUPERMAN is even slightly better than BATMAN!!!

Thanks for reading.

FANTASTIC

Warning: Spoilers
Have you seen the directing here😍 Trying to stop the plane and having difficult in it cause he's inexperienced and doesn't know where to put pressure, fails breaking a wing etc Or how he breaks in parts the robots at the end. It takes its time, let the power really power up and the scene with Lex is SUPERBE; the fact that he knows that with possible megalomaniacs he can't answer, cause it would feed into their hunger for supremacy in the discussion and he just let his presence do the work! And for the ones "Superman is more powerful than that": you all are literally the death of superheroes and comics.

Lois A Little Too Edgy; Luthor A Little Too Nice

Superman stops an airplane, and oddly works up a big sweat doing it with a lot of damage done trying to slow the plane down, which he shouldn't have. I thought something like this is no problem, yet he was struggling.

Nonetheless, Clark Kent has surmised that Lex Luthor's invincible armored robot was really given away by him, not stolen, and Lois is impressed. She says Clark is now the second person that is getting under Luthor's skin, she being the first "after I dumped him." The writers of this show, sadly, show their updated morals by having Lois look at Superman and say "Nice esss!" with the obvious sexual innuendo. No, this is not the innocent Superman story the rest of us are used to seeing.

Clark has a good theory on Luthor making a deal with a terrorist associated with the country "Kaznia" and Lois pretty much agrees with him and goes to snoop aboard a big tanker where she thinks the stolen armor (super-sized robot with a man running it inside of him) might be smuggled. Of course, the first guy she encounters aboard ship is a nasty guy with - you guessed it - a German accent! Hollywood has never forgiven the Germans for what happened 60 years ago and can't stop making them the bad guys, even now, even in Superman stories.

On the positive side, the story moves fast, one extended action scene was good, the colors in here are bold and rich and there is a tinge of sarcastic humor that made me laugh.

Also, I have no watched six episodes and went back here to state that things are much better, attitude-wise, and the show has become much better than these opening three shows.
