Cat
A cat called Tiddles spells trouble for Eric.
When Hattie sends him on to the roof looking for Tiddles he nearly falls off. Then he ends up in the neighbour's house. Major Crombie-Crombie who tries to give Eric both barrels.
Eric even ends up in an identity parade with Corky as master of ceremonies.
It is an episode of two parts. The first is very much physical comedy with Eric up on the roof. Unknowing that the cat is actually safe with Hattie.
The second is more fun with the identity parade. Corky showing up Charles Brown's alleged war record. Eric also slipping a quick bribe to Corky.
I thought Eric had trouble keeping a straight face when he was on the phone with Major Crombie-Crombie and speaking in double barrel.
