A good bit of festive fun from the 70's.

Corky and his family entrain Eric and Hattie, Corky's family price to be a little strange, young Marlon enjoys tormenting Eric.

I haven't seen any Sykes for years, I was glad to see a single episode pop up on BBC4. I enjoy this kind of Christmas show, the magic of Eric Sykes and Hattie Jacques is as enjoyable as ever, this one is a little more off the wall than I remember.

I did chuckle at Elsie, we don't get to see the hungry, bed ridden character, we just get to hear her shouts down to Corky, and demands for food, it's so surreal. Clara was equally surreal, I loved her magic on the old Joanna.

There are some funny moments, the unexpected drink, the cake, cigar and the telescope.

First Christmas show of 2022, it's out me in the festive mood, 7/10.

Christmas Party

Eric and Hattie are spending Christmas Day at Corky's.

There is not much food and drink left as Corky's wife has had it all.

A little kid called Marlon keeps playing practical jokes on Eric.

Cousin Clara is grim faced and brings a chill whenever she enters the room.

There is some good comedy provided by Eric Sykes, especially when the glass of wine turns out to be paraffin.

Good support from Corky but his wife remains unseen.

The best bit was the Ace of Spades trick but Clara manages to produce the card that Eric said he had.
