The phone later turns out to be in a room where a woman killed herself after her only friend stopped returning her calls. Her friend is the main character who coincidentally moved next-door to the room where the woman killed herself. Later on the main character is strangled by a telephone. This entire episode is both very creepy and deeply sad.
