When the lover of the beautiful and wealthy Gina Casavin is found dead on her bed strangled and stabbed, Police Lieutenant Wright and the psychiatrist Dr. Jeffrey Webster attend the call and analyze the crime scene. Gina blames an ancient gypsy course in her family for the death of her lover, but her cousin Nicholas becomes the prime suspect based on information provided by the maid Miranda Dean. Dr. Webster meets Gina several times to convince her that the curse does not exist, and they fall in love with each other. But soon Dr. Webster learns the secret of the gypsy curse.
