Victor Jury plays a weirdo botanist who is world famous and living in the Amazon doing research. His assistant, however, has soon tired of the research station, as it's hot and lonely. In fact, the assistant is so lonely he offers to pay the botanist $10--just to have one of his letters that just arrived. On a lark, the botanist agrees--and this sets off a bizarre chain of events. Soon, he begins to obsess about what might have been in the letter and he damands it back from the assistrant--who says NO! What's next?
How this all plays out as well as the STUPID man-eating plant isn't particularly good. Now "Tales of Tomorrow" was a pretty good anthology show, but here the special effects and writing really fall short. It's one of the poorer episodes in the series. Lame, poorly acted and difficult to enjoy.
