A small town is run by a corrupt Judge and his court, tragedy strikes when a desperate, dangerous criminal is released on bail, and kills two men whilst committing an armed robbery, Marino investigates.
First off, those opening sequences were excellent, quite shocking, and certainly enough to grab your attention, I thought they set this episode up very well.
Judge Loren Tolliver was a fantastic character, so complacent, so cocky, believing he's safe on top of his ivory tower. Of course what happens, someone can't wait to kick it away.
There is definitely something of a pattern to this show, and it's often a love story involving a daughter of one of the main players, this time it's The Detective's daughter Mary.
How good was Frank Lovejoy, who played The crooked Judge Loren, a commanding performance, sadly he was pass away a year later, aged just 50.
I really enjoyed this, a quality episode, 8/10.
