Jim describes the climax of his anti-war script for M*A*S*H (1972) as a pie fight. Though filmed, the ending anti-war Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964) was a pie fight. (Instead of a pie fight, the movie's climax was replaced with film of various nuclear tests with a soundtrack of Vera Lynn singing "We'll Meet Again".)
