An underrated Titanic disaster tale
searchanddestroy-130 May 2016
Warning: Spoilers
This short story takes place on the Titanic during you know what. It uses stock shots for the disaster sequences, but who cares? The main character is a lady who made it just before the liner sunk completely. She found shelter on a life boat and, when she came back to her home town, she is acclaimed as if she was a hero. And till her death in 1932, it is told she received letters from those who shared shelter in the lifeboat. Not an usual story and of course inspired by an actual character, the famous Mrs Brown whom I have never heard about before.

Good directing by Erle C Kenton, who was a film maker for the big screen since the silent era.
