Red's mother is in for a visit and there is a lot of trouble. Especially hard for Kitty who also quit smoking at the same time. Grandma though has good times with Fez. And Eric also needs to write a paper on government.

Well I was waiting from last episode to see Kitty and Red's mother together and it did end up being as funny as I hoped. Kitty wanting a cigarette through this all was a good addition including her getting one in the basement since 1 out of 5 teenagers smoke.

Fez getting along with grandma was also hilarious. Just like Kelso with his ongoing "I will break up wit Jackie soon" talk.

This episode is carried by specific scenes and the casts acting. Like Kitty in the Kitchen and Red slamming the tool box with the hammer in the garage. If this is one of the weakest of the season for me then this show is very well done especially for a sitcoms first season. I love how grounded this first season feels and the next couple of seasons. They feel like a struggling 70s family and we all have that one family member we can't stand and wish they executed the main plot better and not have the smoking part in it cause it's not really funny watching kitty struggle not to smoke and Reds mom being terrible to Kitty. The fake smoke I I think is funny if they did it for comedic purposes. Also I think I might enjoy the B plot better even if it's not amazing with the gang trying to help Eric out by doing his paper and so much stuff does wrong. Hyde and his conspiracies is a highlight. Donna telling kelso not break up with Jackie yet. I really like Kelso and his running gag of breaking up with Jackie is funny and Ashton Kutcher always carries in his performances and his delivery everytime of the line never fails to put a smile on my face. It reminds me a little of friends "We were on a break. Especially this line reminded me of it. "I'm so tired of hearing you say that" Eric. "OH MY GOD, if you say that one more time I'm gonna break up with you" Chandler. The fantasy is also pretty funny with Kitty red and mother Forman. The church prayers in their heads is also very funny especially reds line. Also Kitty asking for a cigarette is an iconic scene of the show. Debra Jo Rupps performance was one of the best of the season if not her best of the season. Fez being the only one who likes grandma and get along with is pretty funny. Also the opening scene of them playing horse is also funny. What also really helps this episode I think is the ending with kitty breaking out into laughter is hilarious and I think their whole conversation is really wholesome.

Now the negatives is pretty much everything with mother Forman even though I can relate doesn't mean I enjoy it and it's hard for me to enjoy the main plot with her on the screen so much. I'm glad she's only in the first season. That ending scene always irritates me with grandma saying the opposite of things earlier and Eric about to let grandma have it, I wish he did she deserved it. It's a fine episode saved by the ending, the casts acting and just general chemistry together.
