This episode marked the first time a Holocaust survivor was interviewed on American television.
At the end of the show, Ralph Edwards would frequently award the subject a 16mm sound copy of the show and a 16mm sound projector. (Hanna also received a tasteful charm bracelet representing stages of her life.) Hanna Bloch Kohner later took this 16mm film and projector around the country to raise money for United Jewish Appeal.
