The premiere episode of The Ropers airs after this episode in the Threes Company syndicated package. The episode Moving On, has the Ropers relocating to a luxury townhouse in the upscale neighborhood of Cheviot Hills.
This episode marks the final appearance of Norman Fell and Audra Lindley as Stanley and Helen Roper, as regular cast members. They would make one more appearance on "Three's Company" as guest stars, in Season 5.
This was the highest rated episode in the history of the series. It preceded the first episode of the spinoff "The Ropers".
Ruta Lee who plays the realtor helping Mr. Roper sell the building in this episode also plays a different woman who wants to buy the building from Mr. Furley in Season 6 Episode 13.
In this episode, Helen Roper states that her and Stanley have lived in the apartment building for fourteen years. However, in a previous Season 3 episode, "Good Old Reliable Janet" (S3E2), when Helen finds out Stanley has been walking on the beach, she states that they have lived in the building for twenty years.
