Vicky is a dud...

Warning: Spoilers
I could ramble on about everything that everyone else already wrote, but I won't. Consider yourself spared. I just think it was a doomed spinoff from the beginning. The way Jack talks to Vicky is neither believable nor worth gushing over. Gag. Vicky is not a good counterpart to Jack and her father is annoying as hell. Janet and Teri are basically tossed aside like they never existed. Good job girls. Thanks for eight seasons of fun. It would have been nice to see one more season where they tidied everything up neatly and gave everyone a proper send off. C'est la vie. I just don't watch the Vicky episodes.

Not Much of a Wedding

So Three's Company was coming to an end and being spun-off into the ill-fated "Three's a Crowd" but first they attempted to bring some (hurried) closure to the characters we've grown so fond of.

Here, Janet gets married to her boyfriend, Phil (who she's been dating for like two episodes). You can tell that the creators couldn't really care less about a fancy send off because they get married IN THE APARTMENT! Yup, why budget for any sort of set when we can just throw some party favors on the wall? Seriously, the apartment is the only setting in the entire half hour.

Oh and the attendees? The regular cast, Jack's new flame, Vicky and a half dozen extras. That's it. I know that Suzanne Somers wouldn't exactly be welcomed back but would it have been too much to bring Janet's parents in? Yup, they conveniently "couldn't make it". How about Cindy? Nope, she disappeared at the end of season six, never to be mentioned again. The beloved Ropers? They moved a mere 20 minutes away but outside of their single return guest appearance never got to come back.

So it's sort of a sad ending to this long running show. While it's nice that we got any sort of wrap up at all in an era where plenty of great shows just ended without any fanfare, this one just feels like they couldn't wait to move on to the new spinoff, to hell with the last eight seasons.

Great show, mediocre finale

This is part one of the two-parter series finale of Three's Company. In the previous episode, viewers are introduced to Jack's new girlfriend Vicki and her father James. Jack, Vicki, and James would be spun-off into Three's a Crowd, which was not successful in the least and was ultimately cancelled after one season.

The final episodes of Three's Company, starting with "The Heiress," fail to bring a proper conclusion to the series. Janet gets married after dating her boyfriend for what feels like only a month. Jack begins a new life with Vicki. As for Terri, it is mentioned briefly that she will be continuing her career as a nurse in Hawaii. Everything just seems rushed. Not the best send-off the series could have.
