The end of the Three's Company TV series
CCsito13 July 2011
Warning: Spoilers
This episode marked the last one for Three's a Crowd which followed after Three's Company's run for 8 seasons. The last show involved Vicky and Jack being hired to do an airline ad for Vicky's employer. One of the highlights of this episode has Mary Cadorette doing some tap dancing at the start of the episode which she was auditioning for the commercial part. Mary was originally a dancer before she was hired for the Vicky role in the TV series. The show had mediocre viewer ratings which resulted in the cancellation after one season. Some of the episodes were funny, but overall it lacked the same comedic content of Three's Company. Even when they tried to add Jack's friend Larry in an earlier episode, it did little to boost the Nielsen ratings. There was no "farewell" at the end of this last episode, so the eventual cancellation probably was still undecided when the episode was taped. There was still a possibility of the show's renewal for the next season, but ABC eventually dropped the show. The show was based on a British comedy series titled "Robin's nest" while Three's Company was also based on another British series, "Man about the house". The US TV series was supposed to follow the same plot development as the British series. Did Vicky ever marry Jack? I guess we will never know.
