Proud house owner and Tory Alf is very angry by his socialist son-in-law, Mike's comments about the family home being a slum, further humiliation and arguments follow in a boozy session in the local pub.
To the annoyance of his long suffering wife Else, right-winger Alf Garnett is arguing with daughter Rita's Scouse husband Mike, a staunch socialist. The argument continues in the pub where Alf tries to confiscate Mike's darts but after a drunken skinful the two men have called a truce and are arguing with their womenfolk who decry their drunken antics. Next morning things are back to normal as everybody is at each other's throats.—don @ minifie-1
