Storyline

Whilst Richard's position at Cavendish Foods is saved he still needs money to keep going after buying the Argentinian plant and feels that his only alternative is to sell the manor. Audrey, on the other hand, has had a far better reversal of fortune as Uncle Granville has died and left her a huge sum of money. This enables her to buy back the manor, as its lady twice over, as she also asks Richard to marry her and he accepts. Written by don @ minifie-1

Trivia

When a close-up is shown of the grave of Audrey's late husband, his first name is seen to be spelled "Marton", not "Martin". This unusual spelling began as a typo when Peter Spence, the creator, was typing a copy of the original radio script on which the TV version was based. John Lloyd, the producer of the radio play, decided to keep this spelling because "the aristocracy are always mucking about with the spelling of things". See more »
