The original Broadway production of "Walking Happy" opened on November 26, 1966 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, ran for 161 performances and was nominated for the 1967 Tony Awards for Best Musical and Best Score. Norman Wisdom, Louise Troy and Gordon Dilworth all received Tony Awards for acting and appeared together on the Ed Sullivan Show with the rest of the cast in the only filmed production (One scene) of their show.
