Dorothy has ordered a freezer, and Robert's not happy, he finds ways of protesting during one of Agnes's luncheon parties.
A boa constrictor would have definitely been the cheaper option, one with less protestations.
It's really funny the way that Dorothy has learned the way to Robert's heart, he's manipulative, but only so far as she will allow.
It's funny, an episode that really does date this show, it's hard to imagine anyone not being in possession of a freezer, when I asked my mum about this, she said in 1978 there were still households that didn't have them, and that most families would buy fresh food. Times were very different.
Peggy Thorpe-Bates is hilarious as Agnes, so beautifully posh, and very funny, she would later become well known as being Mrs Rumpole of The Bailey. The eternally lovely Joanna David as always wonderful to see.
I enjoyed this one, 8/10.
