Valerie's last-minute trip to meet Michael in Bermuda finds her getting arrested at the airport; Mrs. Poole throws her back out and the boys must babysit her young niece.
This is an above-average episode despite the cutesy-poo story line about the child, which is notable because it features a pre-FULL HOUSE Jodie Sweetin as Mrs. Poole's little niece Pamela. She makes the boys play Barbies and tea party, and while David resents her at first, he ends up being protective and sings her a lullaby.
The episode is great for the plot with Val getting arrested because a crafty purse thief has her framed. Kit McDonough plays the criminal and she is recognizable to Classic TV fans as the rattled woman who shows up to rent the apartment in the debut episode of THREE'S COMPANY. This story feels very RHODA-like, especially when Valerie gets fed up and starts acting very tough.
