Very nice episode: Mel Torme' was not Mel Torme'

Yo! I have really enjoyed McClure's character Trampas throughout the entire series thus far: I have watched every episode in the first five seasons and up to this one in season six (episode 24).

There were some elements to this episode that I really enjoyed. Mel Torme' donned period relevant attire with a bourgeoning handlebar moustache along with the shading/lighting used during a climactic scene was extremely effective in conveying an aura of intimidation.

What I am curious about, and would love to know more of, is the name of the musical score used during the scene where Torme' character was rescuing Trampas at the beginning of the episode. It was one of the many cases where the music stand out and accents the urgency.

This episode was almost like Trampas' guardian angel as a drifter turned handyman who always is Johnny on the spot to save Trampas . Like to think this episode was heaven sent

New neighbors, new feud
bkoganbing27 February 2020
The Grangers at Shiloh and some new neighbors are contesting a strip of land that the state land commissioner will eventually have to resolve. But the son of the new neighbor William Bramley played by Tom Simcox starts a campaign of both intimidation and public relations.

In this mix arrives Mel Torme who sings not a note, but plays a stranger who could be a notorious fast gun. He saves Doug McClure after Simcox sucker punches Trampas. He gets hired at Shiloh, but only as a handyman as per the episode title. Just like Shane was a handyman.

This was a good episode, but a really bad artificial ending was tacked on as you will see if you watch this.
