On an underwater base, twins (both played by William Smithers) have created plant creatures, some giant and some super-giant, that soon attack the flying sub.
The first half of this episode is a wonder to the eyes, filled with all new miniature effects footage of the giant plant attacking the Flying Sub and then Seaview coming to the rescue...a situation that gets a laugh from Nelson (I love it when he laughs). What a knockout first half this is!
However, in the second half of the hour, I don't actually like seeing the man-size plants walk the corridors of Seaview as it just looks more like a Power Rangers (1993) episode, not Voyage. But the whole hour is rather pleasing thanks, in part, to guest star Williams Smithers, an actor best known for guest starring in a season two episode of classic Star Trek.
