- Kiss the Cook. Hundreds of cardboard figures of Herb at his barbecue instead of Venus promoting shampoo. When an ad for one of the station's sponsors that's supposed to show Venus somehow ends up with a picture of Herb because of a sloppy oversight mix-up, the sponsor wants to drop them. Jennifer offers to go talk to the manager using her obvious appeal to convince him not to, but as it turns out the guy is blind, and she has to resort to charm - which she also has in spades.—rcs0411@yahoo.com
- Herb is responsible for a major error in an advertising campaign for a shampoo marketed specifically to the young, black community, the campaign which was to include life sized posters in every supermarket in Cincinnati using Venus' image. The error?: the posters, which have already been distributed, have a photo of Herb instead, as Herb didn't proof the final copy, and took the photo of Venus himself, the roll of film he sending to the printer with Venus' photos which contained this one photo of Herb himself. This error could not only cause Venus and the station further embarrassment, but it will probably cost the station $5,000 and lost business from the client, Hester Sherman of Hester Sherman Products. While Herb is used to getting chastised, he doesn't think much about the problem as nothing bad ever happens to WKRP employees no matter how bad they screw up. Jennifer, sitting where she is outside Mr. Carlson's office, knows that this time is different, Herb who will probably be fired as the final straw in one error too many and not really seeming to care that he is continually screwing up. As such, Jennifer tries to help Herb by telling him to straighten things out with Mr. Sherman, with Jennifer making a subsequent trip to persuade Mr. Sherman using her feminine wiles, all the while distracting Mr. Carlson so that he can't meet with Herb. Beyond steps Andy is taking to to right Herb's wrongs about which Jennifer is unaware, Herb and Jennifer will find that dealing with Sherman, who they have heard is tough, is much different than they expect when they meet him.—Huggo
