Ron Hayes en route to Fort Chacon saves Bill Hawks and Duke Shannon from an
Indian attack. They invite him to use the protection of the Wagon Train. While
there Hayes spots James Griffith selling stolen army goods to the settlers on the
Chris Hale Wagon Train. Hayes also suspects him of murdering an officer who was
investigating said thefts.
A slip by the one in charge of the theft ring about Denny Miller gives Hayes some doubts and real concern. Of course it's all sorted out in the end.
Such folks as John Larkin, Mike Mazurki, Joanna Moore, and L.Q.Jones are also in the cast of this episode. They carry the burden as the regulars with the exception of Denny Miller are mostly absent.
It's a good ensemble piece of work.
