Count Draja (Mark Lenard) was from Bosnia, an actual country in southeastern Europe on the Balkan Peninsula. In the era of this series (1870s) Bosnia had a population of about a million and was controlled by the Ottoman Empire, however it was conquered and controlled by the Austro-Hungarian Empire starting in 1878.
The vigilantes chasing West and the Count had the last name of Garrison. Michael Garrison created the series.
Once again, Artie demonstrates his well-established culinary know-how by whipping up a batch of cevapcici (diacritics and pronunciation differ across southeastern Europe), a traditional Balkan dish of hand-formed sausages (meats vary, but are often a blend) which are typically grilled and served with flatbread.
