Corey Parker (Josh) played Eddie Fisher in Liz: The Elizabeth Taylor Story. Eddie Fisher was married to Debbie Reynolds who plays Grace's mother on the show.
When Sally (the woman in the NBC waiting room with Jack) imitates a Johnny Carson skit character called Carnac the Magnificent. Carson, as Carnac, played a soothsayer who would predict the sayings written on a card inside a sealed envelope, after reading a three-word clue. Sally imitates one famous skit where Carnac says, "Siss. Boom. Bah." Sally's response to that clue is: "What do you hear when Scrooge passes a (kidney) stone." In the actual Carson skit, the response was: "The sound a sheep makes just before it explodes."
