When an overzealous congresswoman launches an investigation on Suzanne, she asks her old friend Anthony to dispose of her diary, fearing that her weight could become public knowledge.

Suzanne alludes to a short story called "Lamb to the Slaughter" by Roald Dahl when she mentions how a woman killed her husband with a frozen leg of lamb and then cooks it for the policemen investigating the murder, thus destroying the evidence. The short story itself was made into an Alfred Hitchcock Presents episode in 1958 under the same title as the story itself. See more
