Debra Winger who played Wonder Girl, Wonder Woman's sister, has said in interviews that Lynda Carter would not allow her to have the same elaborate costume she did, or the same level of make-up either; so she had to have a special costume made. It should be noted, however, that the television Wonder Girl's costume closely resembles the comics version's costume at the time, with the main differences being that the comics Wonder Girl wore full-leg red pants instead of blue shorts, and did not have a tiara.
The television series' Wonder Girl has a significantly different backstory than her comics counterpart. In the original comics, Wonder Girl was Donna Troy, an orphaned human baby rescued from a fire by Wonder Woman and adopted by Queen Hippolyta. She was given the powers of the Amazons by their scientists.
First appearance of Carolyn Jones as the Queen, Wonder Woman's mother, replacing Cloris Leachman from the pilot episode.
This is the only episode to feature Wonder Woman changing back into Diana Prince, but the actual transformation isn't on screen.
When Gen. Blankenship and Drusilla are driving they are on the old Columbia Pictures back lot. Just before the sign showing the turn to Ft. Belvoir, one can see the familiar brick exterior of the Stevens' house seen in the TV series Bewitched (1964).
