a nice episode
trashgang18 January 2013
Second part of this episode and Drusilla, wonder woman's sister has told the location of Paradise island to the Germans. of course they want to go to that particular location to find the metal used for the bracelets. But again we do have some campy shots. Just have a look at the air plane, the invisible one, it is just a plastic toy with two dolls in it. Nevertheless, it works out fine and wonder woman goes back to Paradise Island to fight the Germans. Funny fights to see in a cheesy way.

John Saxon as Captain Radl does a fine job and adds towards this episode. A must see is the end when the Amazons are fighting the Germans. When the job is finished we go back to the military base for the test of new prototype of air plane. But of course it's a German spy who captures the plane but not without wonder woman. Just see how she can stop that plane.

The Feminum Mystique is a nice entry in the first season. Still camp but by now we do know that that was intended by the producers.

A GREAT END TO A MEMORABLE EPISODE
asalerno1014 May 2022
Drusilla accidentally informs the Nazis of the exact location of Paradise Island, aware of this Diana travels quickly to prepare the resistance to the imminent invasion. Unfortunately, the Nazis achieve their purpose and take the Amazons prisoner, forcing them to exploit the Feminum mine for their own benefit. Drusilla manages to escape from her captivity and once on the Island she collaborates to finally free the Amazons, but Wonder Woman still has a mission to accomplish and that is to prevent a new Nazi attempt to seize the prototype test plane. In addition to the excellent performances of the entire cast, including John Saxon, Debra Winger and Carolyn Jones, this exciting episode has a large dose of suspense and one of the most memorable scenes in the entire series when Wonder Woman achieves stop the plane from taking off with your bare hands. The production was very clever to solve some problems such as locating the Feminun mine in a hidden part of the island, which justified that only a small group of Amazons were taken prisoner. It is also worth noting the direction and the incidental music that accompanies the entire episode that give the correct atmosphere of intrigue to the entire development.

The Feminum Mystique pt2
Joxerlives2 January 2012
Warning: Spoilers
The Feminum Mystique pt2 Boy-crazy Dru is fooled by the masculine charms of a Nazi agent into revealing the location of Paradise Island. Forgivable enough, she has no experience of men or the big bad world. Her assertion that the number one rule of the Amazons is not to talk about Paradise Island is rather reminiscent of Fight Club. Of course it's utterly ludicrous that a German destroyer could operate in the Caribbean even before the US's entry into the war. Another great one for the fetishists with the Amazons enslaved by the Nazis and staging big catfights in order to distract them and let WW get her bracelets back. WW actually fires a rifle (we've seen her fire a pistol in the pilot). The Nazi commandos who take over the island seem to only number about a dozen. How many Amazons are there? 4/10, not too good.
