When the officer is typing Eddie's name in the computer, in the first shot he types "Van Blundt, Ed" and he continues typing in the next shot, presumably finishing the first name (Eddie) and possibly the middle name. However, when Eddie points out he spelled his name wrong (Blundt instead of Blundht), the officer backspaces twice and types two letters. This would only fix it if he had typed "Van Blundt," as pressing backspace twice would delete the "t," allowing him to type ht, but seeing as he had already typed the full name it would have only deleted the last two letters of the first or middle name (whichever he last typed). Furthermore, even if he had done it from right after the comma, he didn't retype the comma. And finally, if you watch his typing very closely right before Eddie interrupts him, he's not even pressing the correct letters to type any part of Eddie's name.
When Mulder and Scully are walking from their car to the Van Blundht's house, Scully takes out an umbrella and both act as though it is raining, but it is clearly not.
Van Blundht said that the name/ silent "h" is Dutch but the Dutch do not have a silent "H" between a "D" and a "T" in the language...In fact "Van Blundht" in any form, isn't a Dutch name at all..... Closed thing to that name is "Blunt" which in The Netherlands refers to special paper (flavored) to roll weed.
