Lloyd Nolan stars in this western tale.

The episode begins in a lazy western town where a lone rider has just robbed the local savings and loan. The sad thing is that the robber is Adam Larkin who is down on his luck and thinks that stealing is the only way to help his sick wife. But during the robbery, someone notices a Spanish bit on the get-a-way horse which leads the Sheriff to point to Larkin. The Sheriff rides out to Larkin's house only to find his sick wife being tended to by a neighbor, Hannah Benton.

Larkin's sick wife hears the Sheriff and knows that her husband stole the money. When Larkin arrives back at the house, she tells him to return the money. He agrees but before he can head to town, two roughs ride out demanding the money from Larkin. Little did Larkin know how bad the situation was going to get when he stole the money from the savings and loan.

There is much going on in this story. Poor Adam Larkin, played by Lloyd Nolan, did not know how the events were going to snowball which leads to one crime after another. The show has some nice actors that include Nolen, Dennis Patrick, Virginia Gregg and Richard Devon that made for an interesting watch. Even though the ending was rather suspicious, the story still played out well. Nice watch.
