One of the best of the lot.

This is a great episode in the Zodiac series, a murder is witnessed, and the person that witnesses it has a reason for not wanting to come forward.

It's a clever, well constructed mystery, which is offset by a few lighter moments.

Esther is a little bit of a magical astrologer in this episode, as she adamantly knows the star sign of someone she instantly meets.

Peter Vaughan is always great value, and stands out here, Joanna David was so incredibly pretty and sincere.

Enjoyed this one. 8/10

Rear window...

When a man, Richard Meade, witnesses the murder of a young woman from his bedroom window in the apartment opposite, it seems that Gradley has the perfect witness to solve his latest case.

But, it seems the witness has secrets of his own and, when he shows up at Esther's house while she's entertaining good friend Debbie and her new flame, things become a bit more complicated.

Richard is an MP with his own reputation to protect - and is Debbie's father. He doesn't seem too keen on Debbie's plans to marry the man she hardly knows - and with good reason. But why is he so reluctant to help Gradley solve what seems a pretty clear-cut murder case?

This is a good, strong episode from this short-lived series, and boasts an excellent cast including Peter Vaughan, Dinah Sheridan and Ian Ogilvy. Joanna David is excellent as the pretty and likeable Debbie, and there are some good twists and turns along the way.

Esther is pretty perceptive too with her astrology skills - although Gradley seems to want to take all the credit this time!

This was an intriguing and enjoyable story that showcases Zodiac at its best.
