The Untitled Han Solo movie has certainly had a troubled time of late, with the late directorial change of Ron Howard coming in to replace the outgoing Phil Lord and Chris Miller. I don't think any of the movies stars are going to come out and tell us anything negative about the directors who hired them, but it certainly seems that Ron Howard has brought a different approach to filming the story of the young Han Solo.

This fall, Supergirl will be giving some serious side-eye to Jenna Dewan-Tatum; The Witches of East End alumna will recur as Lucy Lane on the CBS drama, TVLine has confirmed.
As we first reported, Lucy — sister of Lois Lane — is brash, funny and successful in her own right. In keeping with DC Comics lore, she will also be an ex-girlfriend of Jimmy Olsen (Mehcad Brooks), Kara’s new CatCo media conglom colleague. (Considering Kara’s immediate crush on Jimmy in the series’ pilot episode, Lucy’s presence will not be a welcome one.)

Brace yourselves. This list of the Top 100 Greatest Gay Movies is probably going to generate some howls of protest thanks to a rather major upset in the rankings. Frankly, one that surprised the hell out of us here at AfterElton.
But before we get to that, an introduction. A few weeks ago we asked AfterElton readers to submit up to ten of their favorite films by write-in vote. We conducted a similar poll several years ago, but a lot has happened culturally since then, and a number of worthy movies of gay interest have been released. We wanted to see how your list of favorites had changed.
We also wanted to expand our list to 100 from the top 50 we had done previously. We figured there were finally enough quality gay films to justify the expansion. And we wanted to break out gay documentaries onto their own list (You'll find the...

When this DVD first falls into your lap: nothing about it inspires confidence. It's written and directed by a first-timer, Robert Ethan Gunnerson; made in 2006 but only now getting released; and its cover depicts a relatively unknown actor (Peter Facinelli: Dr. Carlisle Cullen in the Twilight saga) attempting to look sullen in a hoody and red shades -- but coming across uncannily like Bono -- whilst surrounded by giant clichéd-detective-film-words like 'missing' and 'reward'.
What stops you throwing it into the 'save for rainy day where there's naff-all-else-to-watch' pile are the commendations proudly displayed on that same cover: 'Winner: Director's and Viewer's Choice Awards, The Indie Gallery Film Festival' and 'Official Selection: Hollywood Film Festival'. These people aren't mugs, are they?
No, no they aren't. But you must be patient with Arc if you're going to agree with them. And by that I don't just mean getting past the cover,...

We've all had that friendship that was cut short for whatever reason — because your family moved, because you switched jobs, because you were a "greaser" and they were a "soc" — and we're left to wonder: what might have been?
The same is true for gays on television. Television programs are canceled for a lot of reasons, and it's definitely not always because of a lack of quality.
But what if these characters had stuck around a little longer? Who knows what kind of adoring or intimate relationship we viewers might have developed with them?
Here are a few of the folks I'd like to rescue from the Island of Lost Gay TV Characters:
Fred Savage as Mitch Crumb with co-star Jane Curtain
Mitch Crumb (from Crumbs)
If there was ever a show that coulda been a contender, it was Crumbs, a 2006 vehicle for a grown-up Fred Savage (who had become...

“Arc” was originally shot back in 2006 and marked the debut of writer director Robert Ethan Gunnerson. The film is likely now receiving a belated release thanks to the presence of lead actor Peter Facinelli who has since gone on to bigger things with the teeny bopper goth hit “Twilight”. However, fans of the shoe gazing vampire series are unlikely to find much to enjoy here as the film is a decidedly rough affair, dealing with drug abuse, prostitution and child pornography. Stop me if you’ve heard this one before – Facinelli plays the ludicrously named Paris Pritchert, an ex-cop turned drug dealer and junkie who takes one last stab at redemption as he attempts to track down a missing young boy. As he delves deeper into the La underworld, trying to keep himself awake by ingesting as many drugs as his body can handle, he uncovers a web of deceit...
