A somewhat striking footnote, during this title, written by Eddy Asselbergs aka Collectief Foks, the show's title character Oscar (Carry Goossens) is not addressed by his nickname 'Kampioen'. The characters only address him by his first name. Said other title written by Eddy Asselbergs, or Collectief Foks, is Bekers (1991) in which Pico does call him 'Kampioen'.
When Xavier's back from his military training, he and Pico have switched positions at the counter. Xavier's spot is usually on the far left - as viewed from where Oscar and Pascale are. Here, Pico stands left and Xavier takes Pico's spot.
The second and final contribution by actor and screenwriter Eddy Asselbergs, having written the title's teleplay under the alias Collectief Foks. Asselbergs, under said alias, also wrote Bekers (1991) which is the second second season title.
The show's lead character Oscar Crucke (Carry Goossens) is an innkeeper. Writer Eddy Asselbergs played an innkeeper on television himself as two years later he would star as Marcel Deleu in the soap series Wittekerke (1993) he co-wrote. In 2000, he left that show.
