The sketch in which John Cleese humiliates Graham Chapman while interviewing him for a job was originally written for and performed on How to Irritate People (1969), a special written by Cleese and Chapman and starring Cleese with Chapman, Michael Palin and Tim Brooke-Taylor.
In one of the Vox Pops John Cleese plays a man ranting about immigration. This is the very first appearance of the Gumby character. While the character lacks the trademark mustache or glasses, he sports the other key components of the Gumby costume: shorts, gumboots and a knotted handkerchief on the head.

She would appear in 30 of the original Flying Circus episodes playing various characters as well as Monty Python feature films including Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Life of Brain, Live at the Hollywood Bowl, and Meaning of Life.
