Mrs Arnott decides it's time to return to Sheffield, and help her daughter out, John organises a 60's themed celebration to send her off, with Dazzling Darren and Ricky headlining the gig.
It's not too difficult to see why the average scores have dropped off a little bit, it's still an amusing and decent episode, but compared to the first series, it's just lacking something.
John's costume and Dazzling Darren are the highlights of this one.
Kevin Lloyd is good here, but I can't say I think he was totally shouted to the role, we'd come to love him as Tosh on The Bill.
I can see why Jean Challis moved on, her character got some good lines, but her presence has dropped off since the early episodes, she has plenty of credits, Doctor Who, one foot in the Grave, Ruth Rendell etc.
6/10.
