Brandy's life is a lie

Warning: Spoilers
An episode written by a writer of my other favorite show ("Hey Arnold!"), you say? Well, this one is honestly better than the HA episode ("Das Subway") to be honest. This one includes a lot of things unique for an episode of this episode. For one, the moral is kinda deep, which isn't something rare as most of the deep morals are at the end of season 2 ("Big Girls Don't Body Slam" for s3xism, "The Tortoise and the Hare-Brain" for r@cism, and "RIp Van Whiskers" for d3ath... I had to use the symbols and numbers because of IMDb). She also finds out she's adopted, which could debatably be considered dark. The moral is also probably the best part about the episode, if not Brandy as a character.

Which brings me to the diggity darn moral. I literally just mentioned. Can I just say how much I love this moral? Well, I do. It's mainly due to the execution, it's told very direct and handled in all the right ways (it also reminds me children from celebrities...). Also, to combat the "oblivious moral being stated" con people give episodes, you can do it, it's ok to sometimes have an obvious moral. Just make it reasonable, not shoved in my face.

Moving on from that mess, how are the characters in this episode? Like I said earlier, Brandy as a character in this episode is another one of the best things about it. This also ties into the moral, as it rightfully snaps her out of her "I'm a mutt" mindset. For most of the episode, she acts like a "mutt" after finding out about her adoption yet it's funny and sad at the same time. Whiskers is also great in this episode, they give him the "Toads and Tiaras" treatment except they don't make him a twit unlike Lincoln in that other episode. Gabriella, who didn't really need to be in this episode as they already Margo to be Brandy's punching bag, is a bad one time character. The only things learned about her are that she's self absorbed and hates losing, traits also shared by (surprise surprise) Margo.

I really don't know what else to say, screw the dude that said this episode sucks only because it's low rated (even though the median is 8.4). 10/10...
