One of the best Pokémon episodes (not just of series 2)

Warning: Spoilers
Ash and his friends arrive at Mandarin Island and it gets scarily interesting as Ash is recognised by two people, who know him and mentions they looking for and demand revenge.

After recognising angry Pokémon attacking their trainers, Pikachu got brainwashed, one look at its very angry appearance you feel intimidated by how freaky it looks.

As Meowth got zapped, he looks like a gloomy zombie without sleep.

With Jessie and James able to follow Meowth to the source - some building with a large antenna, and lair to Team Rocket, or as Jessie and James find their rivals: Cassidy and Buster... I mean Butch (this is first episode of his name gag). Memorable scene of two opposing pair of teammates of Team Rocket organisation get in each other faces over the motto - hard to say which of the two different versions of motto like more, even though Meowth goes onto Jessie and James' side.

This is one of the best Pokémon episodes where Jessie and James, with no choice and disheartened of losing their Pokémon, come to an alliance in assisting with Ash and co in order to get their Pokémon back. Ash fails to get through to Pikachu yet uses his head and Pikachu's Thunderbolt attack to his advantage.

Seems odd Tracey says "Who's That Pokémon?" in noticing Drowzee - Ash seen a Drowzee in first series episode he was in Team Rocket rental van with Ritchie.

This maybe some big coincidence that this Pokémon episode is very similar to Powerpuff Girls episode "Tough Love" where HIM turns Townsville against the trio of crime fighting sisters.

I think what stood up best about this episode, as Suede mentioned, how it upped its game when it came to cinematography and creativity of vision. There's tons of great camera angles and appealing scene compositions culminating in a freaking primetime quality climax near the end. Even if there was bit more character development, I'd consider it a contender for top 5 best episodes of the whole series.
