Malcolm McEwan leaves in a coach bearing the name "Dunsmore Livery Stable." Rosemary Dunsmore plays Malcolm's love interest, Abigail Ward.
The Georgian style print on the wall of Aunt Abigail's house, seen as she's unpacking crates of household furnishings, is of Thomas Gainesborough's famous painting of Georgiana Cavendish, the Duchess of Devonshire. Painted in 1787, the portrait is famous partly for having been stolen multiple times, first, from Devonshire House, and later from the London gallery of Thomas Agnew & Sons.
