Really love watching Bump! It always inspires me to save my pennies and plan my next trip. Light hearted and funny series. Having been a fan of the show for a few years I've been able to travel with Charlie and Shannon through Africa, Australia, Asia, S. America, N. America and Europe without ever leaving my couch. Some episodes are better than others but then again some cities and destinations are just better than others too. At any rate the hosts are never scared to try anything or have fun for a laugh. Charlie seems really comfortable with wildlife so I only wish they would have him interact more. Obviously he's good at hanging with the 'wildlife' in the nightclubs but come on - this guy could be on Nat Geo hosting a show!!

really bad travel show

This show is very uninformative and relies on stereotypes. Every episode features fashion-conscious gay men who go to multiples clubs. A common feature is the host learning where to check out hot guys. Instead of showing the local culture, it shows clubs (as I've mentioned), beaches, salons and gyms (on vacation? seriously?). If you want to watch a real travel show that doesn't stereotype it's target audience, I'd suggest watching public television. When they do give relevant travel advice, it is aimed toward the upper class, not the average viewer. The only good thing bout this show is that my friends and I enjoy laughing at all the moronic statements and pointless side trips ("let's get our nails done!").

I've watched several of the travel episodes with Charlie David as host, and find that they have a few things in common.
1. Someone needs to tell Mr. David to shave every day - sporting a deep five-o'clock shadow is most unattractive. He is a very attractive man, so why hide that fact?
2. The background music is much too intrusive.
3. In the episode on Machu Pichu, Charlie's friends talked so fast they were almost frantic. However, when he was the only interviewer, the pace slowed down a bit.
4. Sometimes, he can get just a bit "too" gay and/or silly.
