This is another one of my favorite episodes of the show number 6 in my book. This is the first appearance of the much beloved character in the franchise Casey Jones.

I'll admit that's only one little quibble I have is the Turtles in this episode kind of get ransacked a bit which unfortunately becomes an unhealthy trend in latter episodes. But this only happens in a little of the episode so I can get past that.

This episode does have a plot which is sort of a parody on the horror film "Maximum Overdrive" as Krang has a plot to turn all machines against everyone for takeover. But this plotline really isn't that important by its nature it's a clothesline.

What makes this episode unique is that fact that a guest character is the main protagonist and the Turtles for once are second string characters, hence the episode's title. These kinds of episodes are never uncommon as they've been done in plenty of shows like "Doctor Who" where the companion/s become the actual main protagonist/s of the episode. I never have a problem with this if the featured character is actually good making him/her worth a damn for our attention, and Casey truly is.

This version of Casey Jones in the 80's cartoon is slightly different from the comic predecessor, but awesome all the same and in the episode actually kicks more ass then the Turtles. I really love the voice used he sounds like Clint Eastwood which makes this version of Casey all the cooler.

He is just kicking ass and taking names in this episode, even almost beats up all of the Turtles though the conflict with him and the Turtles was really one big misunderstanding. This guy to me is more of a parody of "Judge Dredd" because just like Dredd he highly devout to the law but also never takes off his mask.

There are a lot of funny and cool quotes and moments I don't want to give too much away so I'll just say a couple. In one scene the machines are attacking the Turtles and citizens, and this of course makes Casey pissed as usual and he says, "even machines need to obey the law" and then goes on wrecking every machine in sight. The second is when he fights the Turtles and he doesn't believe their mutants but alien invaders and gets a little scared, I couldn't help but crack up though Casey's fear isn't misplaced as there are aliens in this verse of Turtles.

The only really disappoint is the fact both April and Casey in this verse of Turtles never meet up. It would have been cool if just like in the comic they both got to have their dynamic together, which also means Casey wouldn't be in the show much. The fact this didn't happen I thought was a lost opportunity on both counts.

Casey Jones scores one for the Turtles.
