The white and two-tone blue aircraft, N1655H, that is the final shredded airplane, is a PA-32R Piper Lance. This aircraft was formerly operated by Ameriflight, Inc., which is indicated by the name on the fuselage. Ameriflight is a 14 CFR part 135 cargo operator that at the time was based in Burbank, CA, and is the largest part 135 cargo operator in the world. The US Air Carrier, whose certificate number is JIKA, has since moved its Principal Base of Operation to Dallas, TX, operating out of DFW.
When the Mythbusters try to hand-prop a plane, Jamie initially fails, but then Adam tries his hand on a "smaller" plane and succeeds. That plane was not just smaller though. It was a Cessna 175 Skylark, and the main reason Adam managed to hand-start its engine is that it has a reduction gear, which is rare in small planes with a single piston engine. Most have direct drive. The Skylark's reduction gear lets the prop spin more slowly for a given engine speed. Conversely, when hand-starting, the gear makes the engine spin faster for the same prop speed, so it will start more readily.
