Strange, but not worth the watch

Warning: Spoilers
"Quietsch" is the German word for squeaking and this already describes the only somewhat memorable aspect of this film: the sound effects. The rest is fairly forgettable. "Quietsch" is a German 7-minute short film from over 10 years ago written and directed by Swiss filmmaker Baran bo Odar. It was his first effort as the man in charge behind the camera and in charge of the script, but I cannot see any of the really good moments from his later works in here. Later works includes "Das letzte Schweigen" and "Who am I". But he was only in his 20s when he directed this short film here, so I guess you can forgive him for that. It's not a failure, but the lack of story makes this a very mediocre watch and the film does not really work alone on the impact of audible sounds. The screen is split in 3 and we see the kids' rooms of a trio of children that could not be any more different. The good thing is that there is no (German) dialogue in here, so you will not need subtitles if you come from the US for example. But why would you watch it? It's really not that good. Thumbs down.

Not worth the time to watch.

I don't write many reviews on here - I just don't have the time. What time I do have I like to fill watching films. This one is a short film about... well, nothing really. Some sqeaking perhaps?

I may be short, so you won't be wasting a lot of your time - but I just hope I save some of your time by dissuading you from this one.
