During the shooting of a scene in North Hollywood Park, Lili, (Elisa Surmont) is holding the "magical painting" when (obviously unplanned) a butterfly, flip flops over and lands on the painting and then flies off. That moment remains in the final edit.
Two florists donated hundreds of cut wild flowers, irises, Gerber daisies and sunflowers, for the final scene. Each cut flower was planted and gave the illusion of a flourishing garden and lasted for several days.
