A poor African man whose son was shot and killed was on trial for beating the guy who killed the son (he was acquitted on a technicality). But this is Jerry's first criminal trial and he completely blows it with disastrous results. There was some stuff with Ivan's shenanigans with that supposedly dippy woman he married.
