Lane deserves her own wedding episode
ISmellSnow14 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I don't like the title of this episode because it doesn't really have anything to do with Lane or the wedding.

Christopher gets Rory and sidekick phone and they're constantly texting. When Lorelai finds out that she needs to have a male date for the wedding, she has Rory to ask Chris if he will join her.

Lanes grandmother is in town for the wedding. She expects a Korean wedding for Lane. Lane ends up having another wedding after her grandmother leaves and it's awesome. "58 seats and 62 Koreans". After the American wedding, Mrs Kim basically tells Lane she can rock n roll all night long, haha. The reception is going great until a drunken Lorelai gets up to make a toast. Her speech is all about her, and how she will not be getting married on "Juuune thiird".

Rory gets a call that something bad has happened to Logan and he's being airlifted to a hospital in NY. She leaves her house with Christopher in charge of Lorelai.

characters out of character and typical writer exploits used over and over again.
MidoriAi29 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Out of character, Lane's mother decided to accept Lane's dimwit moron of a boyfriend to marry her.

This should have been differently. I think the producer, Helen Pai, since she's the korean one, should have told the writers to be more real. At least Lane should have found a korean member for her band, casually. Then, something not lame happen in her life.

And what about the real badly korean pronunciation??

Lane is independent, but let's his mother take charge of her wedding. Ridiculous. Of course, no other idea pop inside the writers head to make Lane's wedding "interesting to watch and funny"

Who are those friends of Lane? Never showed ever on the show, not even as extras at Luke's. Those laughs when coming out of Doosie's were really bad acting.

Lorelei is the center of atention in Lane's batchelor party. Unrealistic. And doesn't stop there because she ruins the toast talking drunk in front of everyone that lives in SH (it is a wedding being made in the park) about how Lane is getting married and everybody else but her. No ammount of alcohol would drive someone to do something like that, unless it was hiding inside. So, once again, the narcissistic and egoistical Lorelai pops out again, this time, for all the town to see.

All because, once again, somebody didn't say what they really felt (in this case, the wedding cancellation or the not meeting luke's daughter. Typical exploit from these writers.

And of course, the bachelorette party turned out to be laaaame.

Miss Patty was funny.

I noticed that Dean was used just for create drama, a normal routine for GG writers. How is his life?? What happened with him?? The way he dumped Rory after he throw away his marrage, so easily is, once again, out of character.

Lane deserved better

Warning: Spoilers
Ugh, where do I start?! All around, Lane deserved better. I hate Zach, but to be honest, this may have been his best episode. The 'Grandmother wedding'... what were Mrs Kim and her mother fighting about? They missed the entire wedding, it was so disrespectful to Lane. Brian,..he looked so sloppy with that tie being tied so low, Rorys dress looked wrinkled and sloppy, hap-hazardly put together.

The Bachelorette party...what the heck?! Lorelai threw her MOTHER an impromptu Bachelorette party in like 5 minutes with Miss Patty & Babette l, but never made a single effort to do something at her house for Lane?! A flash-second junk shot in a movie was all she could muster to do?

And yes..Lorelai and her drunken 'toast' to Lane, killing the vibe and feeling sorry for herself .. Lane Deserved BETTER!
