"Stephen's Life" was the result of a show called "SITUATION: COMEDY", a reality-show/contest series co-created by Sean P. Hayes (WILL AND GRACE) for Bravo. Similar to the now-defunct "Project Greenlight", Hayes' show awarded the winners of a comedy script-writing contest with the opportunity to produce and direct their own pilot, with the possibility of having that pilot picked up as a full-length sitcom to be aired on NBC. "Stephen's Life" was the winner out of the three different pilots that were produced, and although it was never picked up by the network, it advanced the career of its remarkable young star, Josh Flitter.
