Marge says that Elizabeth became queen after the death of her father Henry VIII, which is true but also omits several monarchs in between: Henry VIII did father a son, who succeeded him as Edward VI, but he was sickly his entire life and died at age 15. He named his cousin Lady Jane Grey as his heir and she claimed the throne as queen, but was deposed nine days later by Henry's oldest daughter Mary, who assumed the throne. Elizabeth became queen following Mary's death five years later.
The line where Henry VIII (Homer) converses with dream Edward Tudor (Bart), agonizing fitfully in his dream why he cannot have a son, with Edward answering that he does not know and reasons "Too much jerkin' your gherkin?" is changed to "Too much jerkin' your merkin?", though the original line remains in captioning.
Episode guides sometimes incorrectly state that Lisa portrays Elizabeth (the future Queen Elizabeth I) in the first segment. She is actually portraying Mary (the future Queen Mary I), who was the child of Henry and Catherine. Elizabeth is mentioned as the unseen daughter of Henry and Anne Boleyn.
