Nasty

I saw this documentary in health class, and it is generally interesting. However, the filmmakers use excessive repetition of a small clip of a hypodermic needle squirting steroids, of the same people flexing over and over again, and of Gregg Valentino attempting to drain the pus out of his bicep. It is well made with the exception of those clips and an English teenager who wants to use steroids to get stronger.

It may be somewhat biased, and is very effective at dissuading people from using steroids. It is too long for its content, and it does not have enough information for the 45 minutes it took to watch.

Maybe the biggest bodybuilder in the world...

OMFG! OMFG! Gotta be about the most disgusting thing I've ever seen in bodybuilding! I saw this on TLC last night and found it very interesting despite making me sick to my stomach. My wife couldn't continue watching it. This guy worked so much he literally blew up his arms. No joke. I think the doctors said this is a form of body dimorphism (sp?). He always thinks he's to small, just like an anorexic that thinks they are too big. He's got a Napoleon complex. He was already a buff dude but he took it way past the extreme causing his arms to explode just like the title says. He is a walking freak show. He goes into bars and think that his freaky size gives him respect and celebrity. I think he looks worse than crap now but how is he going to look when he is in his 60s when he's not working out like he was and that muscle loses all tone? Jeez. He really thinks that his size brings him respect. You've got to see this to believe it. I think this is gonna give me nightmares.
