The TARDIS lands in a tomb on Ancient Egypt, the Daleks are in hot pursuit. The Monk has damaged the lock on the TARDIS, the Doctor needs time to repair it. The Doctor gets impatient with Steven's help and sends him off to look for the Monk. Steven spots him, just as Chen and a Dalek arrive. These events are also witnessed by the locals. Steven and Sara are captured and imprisoned by the Egyptians, the Monk runs into Chen and a Dalek and is given an hour to obtain the tiranium from the Doctor. The Doctor manages to enter the Monk's TARDIS and pinches his directional unit. Sara manages to free Steven, it ends with a bandaged hand reaching out.
There are good and bad elements to this episode. I don't think it can decide if it wants to be serious or funny. Volcano had been a great episode, more serious, Golden Death had more comical moments provided by the Monk. The main problem with it is that it's not particularly original or dramatic, but it is fun. 7/10
