With Lucille and the kids away for ten days, Herb feels more emblazoned to hit on Jennifer in the hopes that she will succumb before Lucille and the kids return. Jennifer, in turn, isn't sure she can handle ten days of Herb "not going away" as he usually does after she rebuffs his advances with a quick, witty quip. Seeing what is happening, Bailey suggests to Jennifer that she call Herb's bluff in the likelihood that he will just cower away forever in fear in the possibility that something might actually happen between them. With Jennifer putting the plan in place, she has to decide how far she will actually go before caving herself in the remote possibility that Herb doesn't back down. What happens between the two of them is affected by Les, who has a new low tech news gathering tool with which to play. Meanwhile, a sleep-deprived Johnny believes he's starting to hallucinate, which is not helped by the gamesmanship happening between Jennifer and Herb.
